Computing is a practical subject, one which encourages the children to think and do, to try out and reflect. Through computing, children learn how to organise themselves, to solve problems and be creative in their thinking and doing. They learn about how things work and learn about different technologies.
Children will learn to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly and recognise acceptable/unacceptable behaviour. They will identify a range of ways to report concerns about content and contact. E-safety is taught across the whole school and embedded continuously across the curriculum.
The key skills acquired throughout the curriculum form an integral part of the National Curriculum and will benefit all of our children in everyday life.
